Connect, pick a relationship, take a side, claim. Everything the interface shows you and what it means.

Open marketsWhat you are trading
A DIVERGE market asks one question about two tokenized stocks: over a fixed window, will their returns move together at least as much as the strike says? Every market has two sides.
- SYNC wins if the realized correlation ρ is at or above the strike. You are saying the pair keeps moving together.
- BREAK wins if ρ ends below the strike. You are saying the pair decouples.
Markets are parimutuel. There is no order book and no counterparty to match. Everyone on the winning side splits the losing pool in proportion to their stake, minus a protocol fee. Prices of the two stocks do not matter on their own; only how their returns relate.
Each market moves through five phases. The pill on every card tells you which one it is in.
| Phase | What it means | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Open | Staking is open until the lock time shown on the pill. | Stake SYNC or BREAK, as many times as you like. |
| Live | The observation window is running. Samples are being recorded onchain. | Watch the running ρ. Stakes are locked. |
| Expired | The window has ended but nobody has called settle yet. | Wait. The keeper settles shortly; anyone can also trigger it. |
| Settled | The outcome is final and written onchain. | Claim your payout if you were on the winning side. |
| Void | Too few samples or undefined correlation. No winner. | Claim a full refund of whatever you staked. |
Before you start
You need three things. None of them come from DIVERGE.
| Need | Detail |
|---|---|
| A browser wallet | Any injected EVM wallet works (MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet and similar). If none is installed, the Connect button sends you to the MetaMask download page. |
| Robinhood Chain | Chain id 4663. The interface adds the network to your wallet for you the first time you switch. Gas is paid in ETH bridged to Robinhood Chain. |
| USDG | Every stake is denominated in USDG at 0x5fc5360D0400a0Fd4f2af552ADD042D716F1d168. Payouts and refunds are in USDG too. |
The interface is non-custodial. It never holds funds. Every action you take is a transaction you sign in your own wallet and that runs in the public DIVERGE contract. Nothing can be reversed after it confirms.
Connect your wallet
The Connect button sits at the top right of every page. Press it and approve the connection request in your wallet. Once connected the button becomes your address; press it again to disconnect.
Not connected
Connected · wallet on another network
- 1Connect. Opens your wallet's connection prompt. If you have no wallet installed it opens the MetaMask download page instead.
- 2Switch to Robinhood. Appears when your wallet is on another network. Pressing it asks the wallet to switch, adding Robinhood Chain first if it has never seen it.
- 3Your address. Shortened. Press to disconnect. The interface remembers the connection and silently reconnects on your next visit.
You can browse every market without connecting. A wallet is only needed to stake or claim, and the stake panel will prompt you to connect at that point.
Find a market
Markets lists every market the contract knows about. The map at the top shows the same markets as a graph: each stock is a node, each market an edge, and the number on the edge is the correlation realized so far.

Filter
- 1Topology. Edges thicken with |ρ|. Solid orange means the running correlation is known; dashed means the market has not collected enough samples yet. Click an edge to open that market.
- 2Filter. open shows markets still accepting stakes, live markets in or just past their window, settled markets you may be able to claim from.
- 3Market card. One per market. Click anywhere on it to open the market page.
Each card carries everything you need to decide whether to look closer.
- 1Pair. The two tickers whose returns are compared.
- 2Phase pill. Open with a countdown to lock, live with a countdown to expiry, or the result.
- 3Headline number. Strike while open, running ρ while live, realized ρ once settled.
- 4Pools. How the money is split between SYNC and BREAK. Twenty blocks per side, one block per five percent.
- 5Terms. Window length, strike and total staked.

- 1Phase, window, dates. Length of the observation window and its start and end dates.
- 2Running ρ. Correlation of the return pairs recorded so far, and which side it currently favours. Shows dots until at least two return pairs exist.
- 3Strike. The threshold. SYNC needs ρ at or above it.
- 4Pools. Amounts on each side. These set your payout multiple.
- 5Observations. The chart and table of every recorded sample. See While it is live.
- 6Legs. Live Chainlink price and feed address for each stock.
- 7Rules. Lock time, window, sampling interval, minimum samples, fee and contract link.
- 8Stake panel. Where you take a side. See Stake.
Everything on this page is read straight from the chain and refreshes on its own. The legs show the current Chainlink price for reference only; settlement uses the samples in the observations table, not the live quote.
Stake
Staking is open until the lock time. After that the panel greys out and shows the running numbers only.

- 1Side. Pick SYNC or BREAK. You can hold both sides of one market if you want.
- 2Amount. Type a USDG amount or tap a preset. bal fills in your whole balance.
- 3Preview. Payout multiple and USDG if your side wins, given the pools right now. Other people staking after you will change it.
- 4Action. The button tells you the next step: connect, switch network, approve, or stake.
A stake is two transactions the first time, one afterwards.
- Approve. Lets the DIVERGE contract pull the amount you typed from your USDG balance. The interface approves exactly that amount, so a larger stake later will ask again.
- Stake. Moves the USDG into the pool for your side. Confirm in your wallet.
- Pending. The button shows the transaction hash while the chain confirms it. The trail underneath tracks Sign, Broadcast and Staked.
- Confirmed. The button turns dark, your position appears under the panel, and the pools update. The Blockscout link opens the transaction.

The payout preview assumes a two percent fee on the losing pool. With pools of 18,420 SYNC and 9,150 BREAK, a 500 USDG stake on SYNC previews like this:
winning pool = 18,420 + 500 = 18,920
losing pool = 9,150
fee = 9,150 × 2% = 183
payout = 500 × (18,920 + 9,150 − 183) / 18,920
= 736.97 USDG (1.47×)While it is live
Once the market locks, the observation window opens. At each interval, usually every six hours, a sample is written onchain with the Chainlink price of both stocks. The contract turns consecutive samples into return pairs and recomputes the correlation.

- 1Returns. One pair of bars per interval: the percentage move of each stock since the previous sample.
- 2Running ρ. The black line, on the right axis from −1 to +1. It is what the market would settle at if the window ended now.
- 3Table. The latest samples with prices, returns and the running correlation after each one. The full list is onchain.
Some things to know about samples:
- Recording a sample is permissionless. A keeper does it on schedule, but anyone can call
observe()on the contract. If nobody does during an interval, that sample is simply missed. - Chainlink feeds for these stocks only update on a half percent move or once a day, so returns look step-like. That is expected.
- A sample is rejected if the feed answer is stale or not positive. Rejected samples are not counted.
- The running ρ can swing a lot early on. It settles down as pairs accumulate.
Settlement and claim
After the window ends, anyone can call settle. The keeper normally does it within minutes. The contract computes the Pearson correlation of the sampled returns in fixed point, compares it to the strike, and records the winner. The result is final.
Payouts are not pushed to you. Open the market and press Claim. One claim per market covers everything you staked there, on either side.

- 2Claim. The exact USDG you will receive. It becomes Claimed once the transaction confirms, and Nothing to claim if you were on the losing side.
Your payout is your stake plus your share of the losing pool after the fee. If nobody staked the winning side, everyone is refunded in full and no fee is taken.
SYNC pool 12,000 · BREAK pool 6,400 · fee 2% · you staked 500 on SYNC
fee = 6,400 × 2% = 128
payout = 500 × (12,000 + 6,400 − 128) / 12,000
= 761.33 USDGVoid markets
A market voids instead of settling when the result would not be meaningful:
- Fewer return pairs were recorded than the market's minimum, shown under Rules.
- One leg did not move at all across the window, so correlation is undefined.
- The protocol administrator voided it.
A void market has no winner. Everyone claims back exactly what they staked, on both sides, with no fee. The claim works the same way as a settled market.

Preview mode
Until a contract address is configured, the interface runs in preview. You will see a preview pill in the header and a banner on the markets page. Markets, pools and observations are samples; the prices on the map and the legs are still live from Chainlink.
- 1Header pill. Present on every page while no contract is configured.
- 2Banner. Reminds you the markets are samples.
- 3Stake button. Disabled. Nothing can be staked in preview.
Troubleshooting
| You see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Connect opens a download page | No wallet extension was found in this browser. Install one, then reload. |
| Switch to Robinhood Chain | Your wallet is on another network. Press the button and approve the switch. If the wallet refuses, add chain id 4663 manually with RPC https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com. |
| Insufficient USDG | The amount is above your USDG balance on Robinhood Chain. Lower it or top up. |
| Approve appears again | Your earlier approval was for a smaller amount. Approve once more for the new amount. |
| Staking closed | The lock time has passed. Look for another market in the Open filter. |
| Failed · tap to retry | The wallet rejected the request or the transaction reverted. The reason is printed under the trail. Tap to reset and try again. |
| Transaction reverted onchain | The contract refused the call after broadcast, usually because state changed in between (market locked, already claimed). Gas was spent. Reload and check the phase. |
| Reading chain… for a long time | The RPC is slow or rate-limited. Wait, or reload. The page retries on its own. |
| Nothing to claim | Your side lost, or you have already claimed. Both are shown in the panel. |
When in doubt, the chain is the source of truth. Every market page links its contract and every transaction links to Blockscout.
Glossary
| ρ (rho) | Pearson correlation of the two stocks' sampled returns. +1 means they moved in lockstep, 0 means no relationship, −1 means opposite. |
| Strike | The ρ threshold SYNC must reach. Fixed when the market is created. |
| Return pair | The percentage change of each stock between two consecutive samples. The unit of correlation. |
| Lock time | When staking closes. Also when the observation window starts. |
| Window | The period during which samples are taken. Its length is the number on the pill, for example 7D. |
| Interval | How often a sample can be recorded inside the window. Usually six hours. |
| Parimutuel | All stakes go into pools. Winners split the losing pool pro rata. No odds are fixed in advance. |
| Implied payout | What your stake would return if your side won and the pools stayed as they are now. |
| Keeper | A bot that records samples and settles markets on schedule. Anyone can do the same by hand. |
| USDG | The dollar stablecoin used for every stake, payout and refund. |
